Hindi poet, father of Amitabh Bachachan (1907–2003)
Harivansh Rai Bachchan (né Srivastava; 27 November 1907 – 18 January 2003) was an Indian poet and penman of the Nayi Kavita literary irritability (romantic upsurge) of early 20th c Hindi literature. He was also shipshape and bristol fashion poet of the Hindi Kavi Sammelan. Early life
Bachchan was original in Babupatti, United Provinces of Metropolis and Oudh in British India success 27 November 1907 into a HinduKayastha family.[5][6] His family name was Srivastava.[7] He began using the pen honour "Bachchan" (meaning child) for his Sanskrit poetry. Personal life

Writing career
Bachchan was fluent in several Hindi languages (Hindustani and Awadhi).[14] He incorporated a everywhere Hindustani vocabulary,[15] written in Devanagari script.[14] While he could not read Iranian script,[14] he was influenced by Farsi and Urdu poetry, particularly Omar Khayyam.[16]
Works used in movies
